The Junior Blues defeated the Junior Ports by one goal to nil in the now traditional friendly game during the half time interval in the Portadown v Linfield Irish League game.

The winning goal was scored by 10 year old Ryan McAfee, a pupil at Knockbreda Primary School.Unfortunately, Ryan's father Stewart McAfee was not there to witness Ryan's winning goal for a Linfield side as he was in London watching Chelsea defeat Newcastle United by four goals to nil

The Junior Blues matched the result of the Linfield senior team who also defeated their Portadown opponents by a 1-0 scoreline.
